Introduction
NCCU's Graduate Institute of Library and Information Science was established in 1996 and changed the name into Graduate Institute of Library, Information & Archival Studies (LIAS) in 2003. The program is fundamentally concerned with the value and impact of information. The institute has two subdivisions: one is Library and Information Science, and the other is Archival studies. Notably, the Archival Studies is the unique program in Taiwan. Our mission is to integrate library and information Science and Archival Studies in order to train advanced specialists for both Library and Information Science and Archives Management.
